22 October 2021 at 18.00 an online (remote) meeting of the Specially Protected Area, Nature Reserve Plieņciems kāpa” for public consultation on the nature management plan. The plan is developed by SIA “Vides Konsultāciju Birojs” on behalf of the Nature Conservation Agency. You must register in advance by emailing This email address is being protected from spambots. From 11 October 2021, the draft nature management plan, a video presentation and other information materials will be available on www.vkb.lv and www.daba.gov.lv to introduce the objectives of the nature reserve, its natural values, management objectives and planned measures. The nature management plan will be available for consultation in person at the Tukums Municipality Engure Parish Administration, Jūras iela 85, Engure, Engure Parish, Tukums Municipality, LV-3113, phone 63161234.

We invite residents, landowners, businesses and anyone interested to read the plan and participate in the public consultation meeting in order to receive up-to-date information and express constructive views on the planned management and use of the area in a timely manner!

We invite to express opinions and make proposals on further development of the nature reserve during the meeting or in writing until 29 October 2021, addressing them to the plan developers SIA “Vides Konsultāciju Birojs” (Ezermalas iela 28, Riga, LV-1014, e-mail: birojs@vkb.lv, tel. 67557668, www.vkb.lv).

The development of the plan is carried out within the framework of the Nature Census or the European Union Cohesion Fund project “Establishment of preconditions for better biodiversity conservation and ecosystem protection in Latvia” No. 5.4.2.1/16/I/001.
