NOTICE<\/strong>On the proposed activity “Extraction of mineral resources in the deposit “Rem\u012bne”<\/em>Initial public consultation<\/em>Published in the Ropazu municipality newsletter “T\u0112VZEM\u012aTE”, 05.09.2023.,<\/em>No 363<\/em>Proposed activity: ‘Extraction of mineral resources (dolomite)’.Proposed activity proponent: Limited liability company ‘Grant Investment’ –VRN 50203367581, legal address Ernest\u012bnes iela 41 – 7, R\u012bga, LV- 1046.Proposed activity location: property ‘Liepas Nr.35″ (cadastral designation of the land unit 8084017 0001), Ropa\u017eu parish, Ropa\u017eu region.State Environmental Service Permit Board 2023. 14. carried out an initial environmental impact assessmentin March No. AP23SI0127, containing the decision to apply the procedure of the Environmental Impact Assessmentto the proposed activity of the limited liability company “Grant Investment” (Reg. No 50203367581)– extraction of mineral resources in the deposit “Rem\u012bne”.The proposed activity includes continuation of extraction of mineral resources in the deposit “Rem\u012bne”. Starting fromin 2005, Rem\u012bne Ltd. carried out mining operations in the dolomite deposit. Since 2015, the Rem\u012bne dolomitedeposit has not been mined, so the areahas been partially flooded due to the cessation of groundwater pumping. Service 2022. 23. In March ,,Rem\u012bne” has issuedwith a deposit passport valid until 2047. 22 February 2011 It is planned to restore the dolomite extraction andtreatment process, thereby pumping out the flooded part of the quarry anddischarging the incoming surface water and groundwater into the surrounding environment, first to the pond in theN part of the deposit, from the N pond to the Piet\u0113n River. The mining is planned both above and below the groundwater level.No transboundary impact is foreseeable for the proposed activity.The initial public consultation is carried out in accordance with the procedure established by the regulatory enactments, following the requirements included in the letter No 5-01\/269\/2023 of the State Environmental Monitoring Office of 16.03.2023.The initial public consultation takes place in the period from 2023 to 2023. 6 September 2023 to 26 September 2023.The information material on the proposed action during the reopened initial public consultationcan be consulted at:1) https:\/\/vkb.lv\/jaunumi;<\/a>2) https:\/\/www.ropazi.lv\/lv\/sabiedribas-lidzdaliba.<\/a>In accordance with 20 of the Covid-19 Infectious Disease Management Act. The initial public consultation meeting onwill take place in a face-to-face format (remotely) from 2023. 18 September to22 September. The online videoconference will take place in 2023. 20 September at. 17:00(access link will be published on the website from 14 September).<\/p>\n\n
